Tina, I'd consider it. Jenn and I have twice gone "church shopping", once after each move, and one day I'll write a bit more about it.

I learned a lot, not only about the churches and people we visited, but about myself. I learned what type of worship I enjoyed, what beliefs I hold firm, and what beliefs aren't as solid as I may have thought. It very much helped me sculpt the vision of church I wanted for my family. In a way it was challenging and in a way it was uncomfortable, but it was always welcoming. I'm a big fan of how churches treat newcomers.

Like many people, I feel very wedded to my current church. I'd have trouble doing it now. I'm glad I had a chance to do it, though. It's a fascinating world out there.

Tina,

I would recommend you do some serious soul searching about why you are considering starting your own company. Make sure it is want you really want. From what I know of you, I am not convinced.

Then, based on what you conclude, I would recommend you do one of two things:

1. If you decide you really, really want to start your own company, talk to someone that you trust who has done it one or more times, or

2. If you decide you want to realize your destiny in a company, then find a company that will help you. I know of one that you might consider...

Best of luck,

John

Well, if doing something embarrassing if you don't keep up with your goal isnt' something you're willing to do, doesn't that just mean you dont' want your goal badly enough? Or maybe negative motivation doesn't fit for you.

I do tattoo parties at peoples homes. My work is good and everything is clean. I have done the Sumner abate biker poker run 2008, and also several others. I run a special that for the hostess/host receives a $50.00 tattoo or credit towards their tattoo every five people that get $50 tattoos at there party. I working on a site to show some of my work. I usually know people I know but as long as I can be guaranteed my safety I will travel up to 50 miles depending on number of people. cherylmiguelacevedo@yahoo.com saint louis mi

Threatening yourself with humiliation in front of your peers does sound motivational, but I think your scheme could be improved by the addition of two things: a little positive reinforcement and the use of even more web technology. How about if you write a script that will post your "before" photo at a date specified, but that allows you to submit incremental photos along the way, as you progress toward your fitness goal. When the day for the big reveal finally roles around the script will post the latest image you've sent it -- the fit you in your gym spandex, not the soft you in a swimsuit. Humiliation, milestones, PHP, women in swimsuits...this plan has it all!
